Enrolling at our school

We currently have approximately 1300 students from Prep to Year Six, with about 44 students participating in our Special Education Program. An enrolment management plan is employed to ensure consistency of student numbers, so that existing resources can support student learning programs effectively.

Students must permanently reside within our catchment area for an application for enrolment to be accepted. Parents are required to download the:

  • Department's ENROLMENT FORM
  • Submit to the office for consideration by our Enrolment Management Committee. Successful applicants will be notified and an enrolment interview scheduled.
  • Prep interviews for following year will be by appointment in Term 4.

Catchment area

The Warrigal Road State School catchment area can be viewed to determine if your permanent place of residence resides in the catchment area. All applicants residing in our catchment area must have the necessary proof of residence detailed in the Guide to Enrolment.

To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator.

The only enrolments to be automatically accepted will be from those families who reside within the school catchment area. All other applicants can apply for the waiting list.

At this stage the only waiting list applications expected to be accepted will be those from families who live outside the catchment area but already have a child in the school or students of staff members. While other applications are welcome to apply for the waiting list, we advise that you make alternative arrangements with your local state schools.

Prep Enrolment for 2018

Enrolment interviews for successful Prep applicants will occur during Week 3 and 4 of Term four. Parents will be notified by email, our Facebook page, newsletter and website when to access School On-line Booking System to organise a suitable time. All enrolments that are submitted before 27 October 2017 go into a prize draw for one new school uniform.

Little Warrigals
Students who have completed the enrolment application are invited to attend the Little Warrigals program – a transition program for students who will attend prep at Warrigal Road State School in 2018. Information for Little Warrigals is available from the office when submitting the enrolment application.

Other year levels

Families who reside outside the catchment area are to be placed on a waiting list for the Enrolment Management Committee to review.  While applications are welcome we advise that you make alternative arrangements with your local state schools.
